Well, nobody's at an appropriately round number of comments, but I want to do a question meme and hey, lots of major things have happened recently. Like that one game last night...

Have at! This goes for Roxas and Madoka.

Oh god, VAN GRANTS. I already wrote a crazy long essay on that, I think in one of Ven's question memes somewhere, but it has developed since.

I guess the moral of the story is that it's this bizarre backwards relationship in which Mau feels like he's parenting Selenia and is really uncomfortable with it but at the same time has latched onto him with silly amounts of love and determination. It's nice because there are some parts of the relationship that he is crystal clear on and some that conflict him deeply and yes. IT'S COMPLEX idek.

What is Emerald's decision-making process behind how they Emerald through trauma games?

H-he pretty much does, yeah. (And Josh would suggest Firebird for temporary freedom purposes.)

Yeah, but not since Josh showed up; they had a big breakdown during one of Three's when Mitchell basically did what Ratatosk did in the last one, and then they talked out their feelings and hammered out a compromise solution. Except now half that team is gone -- maybe more than that, even -- is gone, so...

What would Emerald do if they couldn't self-sacrifice?

Roxas finding out makes Ace SUPER WORRIED because information control is really important as part of how he keeps up the front of being a Good Knight, No Really -- especially in the wake of having attacked the book while Darkness'd. So he is really...not sure how to deal with the fact that whoops the whole being trained to kill thing is now out in the open, relatively speaking, and he doesn't know Roxas well enough to gauge how likely he is to spread that info around. :|bbb There was a moment there of pure panic where he wanted Roxas dead, just to try and...fix things... But Roxas not having a negative reaction at Ace about his memory is...weird to him. He'll probably try to poke Roxas once things have calmed down a little, just to...keep tabs on this new information leak. But mostly he is just...very unsure what is happening, and what is going to happen.

As for Zero! Ace intended for Zero to never find out the true contents of that memory. And...on one hand he is incredibly panicked again because of information leaking but also because he fears being rejected by Zero for being a remorseless killer... But Zero doesn't seem upset about that which is upsetting to Ace because now he doesn't really...get...why Zero is upset about the memory? Yet, he clearly is, and is clearly upset about the content of it but...not in the way Ace expected...it's sort of building on something that's happened previously but basically Ace's BLIND PANIC has been hijacked by a deep confusion as to...what Zero is upset about and how to deal with it. It seems like his memories make Zero sad in a way he had never anticipated they would and so there is a lot of anxiety there.

In both cases now that the memory is open he is trying to get over the PURE PANIC of things getting out of his control and trying to figure out how to run damage control on...everything...while dealing with a lot of other anxieties the accidental snooping has brought to the forefront. It is just an incredibly tense and anxious situation for him and he's going to be kicking himself over not destroying the memory sooner when he realized it was infinitely sharable.

How is Roxas taking Ven's death?

VRISKA IS ROCKY AND COMPLICATED, but I think they've recently just settled on a broship. :|a They've hit a point where they're ... okay with each other, I guess. I mean Tavros isn't okay with being told Vriska was the one that paralyzed him but he's ... giving Vriska a chance after hearing about how much she wants to change.

Rose is okay! He has no reason to not be her friend and she was actually the first person he remembered even if she came a lot later. Their relationship is good but not very complicated.

He is a stupid teenage boy when paired with Dave though because when he's with Dave he really shows his age in ways that don't really happen otherwise. They are silly and get mad at each other but none of it is serious and it doesn't last too long, and they don't hesitate to try to support each other in their own ways either. TOTAL BROSHIP.

How about Madoka? What are her castmate relationships like?

Toboe! Naoto to an extent. Everyone else has feelings of some kind attached, even though he loves them.

Any Persona app plans? I feel like I've asked this before.

Not exactly! He was around for Beauty's mass suicide game back in October, though that entire game had a different feel to him because it was self-sacrifice, not attacking other teams. This was the first game he played in where teams had to attack other teams, and where teams were (somewhat, barring those who self-sacrificed) responsible for each other's deaths/injuries. He managed to make the decision a lot more calmly than I expected, though if this game had occurred earlier in his Aather arc, it would have gone a looooot differently for Coral sob.

Kit has also died once in a heart game due to a series of bad decisions, and other teams have died around him during games as well, so... he was a bit used to seeing death by the time this game ended. The whole "teams attack other teams" was the spin on this game that made it extra awful. That, and an entire four teams died, which is a huge number even with teams dying in other games.

How do you think Madoka would react to her dying/Coral dying for the first time? /ASKS TERRIBLE QUESTIONS

I am canon literate for Madoka! Such a good series.

For now, the plan is to reapp her in June when the window opens, but if I'm feeling another character when that happens I may push back her reapp until the fall when the window opens again :|a But she will definitely be reapped! I just need a quick break before I pick her up again.

Do you plan on reapping Shion? :O?

M-madoka's trauma game development is running a bit on parallel lines to Ginshu's with the Coral vs. self-sacrifice thing 8D

I apped a Persona who would let me be a terrible person basically :'Da It's Pandora, from the famous Pandora's Box myth, and she'll essentially be a pure trauma Persona who only runs terribad games if she gets accepted '-' It'll fall in line with the fact that she was the one who released suffering/tragedy into the world via opening Pandora's Box, and she'll favor those who tend to remain hopeful in tragic situations :U

I remember you talking about running a potential trauma game a while back on plurk! Is it a secret or can you tell me a little bit about it? :O?

From: [personal profile] scalesfromeyes
Nooo, I think Madoka's the one who needs the hugs-- Ginshu managed to circumvent some of the uselessness issues just by virtue of being one of the members from the very beginning and thus having something to push back against people trying to protect her in the beginning. But it's really fascinating how characters with self-sacrificial tendencies in Coral tend to react along similar lines. ♥

I have one! And since it's super straightforward, it's not really a spoiler to talk about it, so. Essentially I'd like to run human Battleship with her sometime, similar to Mother's human chess game only with Battleship. And being 'sunk' for characters essentially means unpleasant consequences, i.e. injuries and potential death. The mechanics are still a little fuzzy but I'm still working through them, and I think it could be a fun game '-'a Though I'd have to run it at a time when things are slow and not trauma-ful as they have been lately to space out the impact the game might have on characters :x I'd have to space out a lot of Pandora's games if she's accepted, just to make sure we don't suddenly have a TON OF TRAUMA GAMES all at once since pacing is important :Da;

Do you have any specific plans for your two within the upcoming months?
