At this point, I think Hook wants me to not Keyblade him in the face, after what he did to Mau. [muttered]

But that's not going to help us, I'm pretty sure.

What did he do to Mau?

He kidnapped him, when we were on that boat. And brought him back pretty banged up. [to put it mildly]

He hurt him?

[nods]

I'll bite him!

[rakes a hand through his own hair] I gotta say, I am so tempted to bargain with 'neither of us will kick Hook's ass.' Really not sure it's a good idea, but tempted.

[getting up to pace]

... We could bargain our forgiveness. Say we'll be nice to him and tell others too. Even if we don't really mean it. That... would be hard.

[twilight_boy]

I wonder if he cares about nice, though.

I don't know. But if he knows it'll really upset us, that might be enough... And it would because he hurt our friend.

[twilight_boy]

[gets a laugh startled out of him] Yeah, it'd certainly bother me. I can almost see it.

And I think she would like it too...

Yeah, I get that impression. I don't really know her well, though.

Does Roxas think it'll work then? I'm okay with choosing me to balance it.

[flinches] Are you sure?

I don't want to watch another friend die. [quiet]

... I want to be able to protect the people important to me.

I couldn't protect Granny. Or Cheza. Or even Tsume. And... I'm not really strong here. So. I want to do this.

[twilight_boy]

Y-yeah. I get that feeling.

[sits, shoulders hunched in]

[Licks cheek.]

But I think... our offer is a really good one. Because it's about more than just something we can find replace. It's about how we feel. And that's special.

[twilight_boy]

And it's certainly going to be no picnic.

I wonder what would happen if we raised the stakes to include both of them, saying we'd tell everyone they're great for a week. And maybe let them put a spell on us - she's a Sea Witch, right? - to make sure we do it.

As long as we specify exactly what it would or wouldn't be...

What would it be?

Specifically making us say good things about those two, with all our other behavior staying normal, and lasting exactly a week. Something like that.
