[Okay, so here's what went down. At some point, Roxas took a bad memory that dovetailed badly with some of the other stuff going on in his head. Ven felt something go really wrong and contacted Dream and the rest of you ASAP. Dream allowed an emergency heart game to take place, giving you all an additional task as a quest:

Everyone will get pens and stickers that they will write on. Each person running will have five stickers that they have to use to try to identify something in the heart. It can be used on people, objects, the air, whatever rolls for you, so, for example, "I am going to put this sticker on Roxas, because he is clearly Roxas" or "This stone must be a stone and not a representation of his deep, weighing sense of guilt".

Guesses can be whatever the character thinks the object is. There is no limit to guesses! The catch is that the sticker will shrivel up if their guess is not correct. They cannot use the sticker again if this happens. If it is correct, then it will remain on the object with no effects whatsoever upon Roxas' heart. (Halfway answers which you might run into get shriveled up but don't come off nor do they reveal the whole message of what they were supposed to be.) If they want to use another sticker on the same object . . . No deal. Likewise, people cannot guess on the same object that someone else has.]

[A feeling of callousness disguising shock and disgust with your own emotions. And a flash of goat-headed butlers closing in on you]

[you can feel his hands trembling in yours, but he doesn't look away] I killed you.

Pretending that they aren't there probably doesn't help... for you, either.

[sighs]

What're the missions?

As you get closer, you can identify the bodies. Lightning, Viridian, Ginger and Kakashi lie sprawled on the glass, looking like they’ve been crushed to death. You can also see a blood-spattered pocket watch in the same pile. Off to the side, you can see Ven’s body. There are no apparent injuries, but he’s just as dead as the rest of them.

There is a single figure up on the scaffold. It’s Roxas, dressed in a blood-spattered Emerald uniform from Beauty’s realm. His arms have been bound behind his back, and a noose made of chains loops around his neck. His eyes are closed, but unlike everyone else here, you can see that he’s breathing.

Jagged chains pierce the glass on the side of the platform, hooking into it like burrs. The chains lead off into the distance, toward what looks like another platform - one choked by a smoke-like darkness.

A bad game, set up by a Persona to kill people no matter what anyone tried, killed me. And I came back.

"I'm not as lucky as some."

[Saix gestures at the drawings] "Take a look at those to get some idea. The ones with the keys above them are the ones someone else is already taking care of."

You were... [a flash of Mithos's painful revival]

I should have argued against targeting knights. I should have known other teams would.

[sighs and returns to the blue-haired man]

Pretty sure I'll be going for that third one.

What is--this...

[moving cautiously towards Roxas, tentatively reaching out to touch his shoulder]

*squeezes his hands in response to the flash*

There were no good decisions in that game, d'you understand? That's how it got built. She wouldn't bargain...she hurt people more because we tried.

Mm...

[goes to check out the drawings! what are they exactly, and which have keys?]

"How appropriate." [Saix pulls a black key out of his pocket and hands it to Battler.] "This will bring you back when you are finished." [He raises his hand and a dark portal opens in front of you.]

[you can feel a slight tremor.] H-hey, Whiskey.

Hey... What are you doing here?

Y-you're right. There was no okay way to do it. Except not putting all points on one team. No way were we gonna do that.

Yeah, I thought so too.

[stepping through the portal then!]

The pictures all appear to be drawn in crayon or colored pencil and are quite good. There are six of them in total. One features a redheaded man wreathed in flame. Another, a green-colored man holding his own severed head. The third is a portrait of a blonde woman in an ornate gown, something which might be a leash stretching from her hand. The fourth seems more abstract than the others, torn carefully in half, both halves covered in red color. The fifth seems to be a landscape covered in tiny keys. Lastly, the sixth... You try to look at it, but your eyes seem unable to focus in. It’s housed under a pane of shattered glass, the glass further obscuring its contents.

The ones of the Green Knight, the red mess and Beatrice have black keys.

So, c'mon. Obviously stuff needs to be fixed...people are still hurting...you're hurting too. But, this moment, we're alive, and living means moving on when you've got to.

"Right. You weren't there yet.

"I caused this."

[starts to look around at the scene again, but stops himself, looking queasy]

[runs his hand along each of them.]
