There's nothing better about being the one to die instead just because it would stress other people out less than you'd be stressed out by being the only one left alive! If--if you do it for a strong reason--if you do it because you won't be made to go against your principles and kill others--
It's still hard! It's not any less painful or distressing! But at least you're not trying to make it about--about consideration in a situation where all you're really deciding is who gets hurt more and in what way, rather than sparing anyone hurt completely!
